Rita Azevedo
VerifiedLisbon, Portugal
My name is Rita Azevedo. I’m a 45-year-old Portuguese painter working mainly in watercolor and gouache. I move between rural landscapes—fields, stone walls, olive trees—and city scenes with trams, cafés, and shifting façade shadows, often adding small genre sketches from markets or the oceanfront at dusk. I paint fast on location and refine in the studio, keeping air and the white of the paper alive. I exhibit at local fairs, lead plein-air workshops, and take commissions for small cityscape series for interiors.
