Role Playbooks
Author
- Upload up to four photos per artwork (front/back/signature/detail) and wait for each upload to finish before saving.
- Toggle “Unique Work” if the piece has no editions. Turn it off later to reveal the Editions form.
- Manage delegation and sales status directly inside the instance passport (Instances → Delegations / Sales).
Organization
- Invite authors via Dashboard → Authors → Invite. After acceptance their artworks appear in Organization Overview.
- Use Delegations for temporary control over instances: define purpose (sale, exhibit, logistics) and permissions.
- Monitor invitation statuses (pending/accepted/expired) in Dashboard → Invitations and resend when necessary.
Collector
- Create private collections and link certificates to keep a curated record.
- Use the Verify page before every acquisition — QR or certificate ID is enough to confirm authenticity.
- Follow favorite authors to receive catalog updates inside your personal “Following” feed.
Feature Tips
Images & previews
- •Let each upload finish before saving — previews appear automatically after the file lands in storage.
- •Thumbnail order follows the order in the form. Drag cards inside the uploader to rearrange them before saving.
Edition workflow
- •Pick a technique and material — suggestions come from the curated materials library.
- •Instances are created automatically based on edition size. Update their status (available, sold, delegated) directly in the list.
- •You can re-enable Unique Work later if you temporarily need to hide editions.
Verification & sharing
- •Every certificate comes with a QR code and short URL. Share them only with trusted contacts.
- •The public passport displays all artwork images and edition data. If something is hidden, review the artwork visibility settings.
Catalog & SEO
- •Write descriptions in short paragraphs for better readability. Markdown-style line breaks are supported.
- •Add series names and keywords (meta.description). They feed the catalog preview and external search.
Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
How do I pick the right account type?
Choose the role that reflects your daily workflow: Author, Organization (gallery/agency), or Collector. The role is bound to the account; switching requires a support ticket.
I see “No current account in session”. What should I do?
Open the Account Switcher in the header and select the author or organization profile you need. The page reloads with the correct permissions.
Which profile data is required?
Go to Dashboard → Settings and provide name, avatar, short bio, and at least one contact method. These fields appear in certificates and public pages.
Artwork Uploads
Is a front image required?
Yes. When creating an artwork you must upload at least one `Front` image. Without it the “Create Artwork” button stays disabled.
Why do images disappear from the form?
Wait until the spinner disappears on each preview. Files upload directly to Supabase Storage; if you close the form earlier they will not be attached. For stability, use Wi-Fi or wait a few seconds before adding the next file.
How does an artwork appear in the public catalog?
Set visibility to “Public” and create at least one edition with instances. Only then the artwork shows up in the catalog and on your public page.
Organizations & Galleries
How do I invite an author?
Open Dashboard → Authors → Invite and send an email invitation. Once accepted, the author appears in your Organization Overview and you can manage their artworks.
How do I switch between organization and personal profile?
Use the Account Switcher in the header. Select the organization account and wait for the reload — the sidebar will show Organization Overview, Delegations, and Invitations.
How do I audit delegations created by authors?
Go to Dashboard → Delegations to review all active delegations, recall requests, and the full activity log per instance.
Certificates & Verification
How do I generate a certificate?
Open the target instance (Artwork → Editions → Instances) and click “Generate Certificate”. The platform builds the payload, issues a QR code, and stores the hash on-chain.
Where do collectors verify certificates?
Send them to /verify. They can scan the QR or enter the certificate ID to see the official record with provenance, edition stats, and revocation info.
Can I revoke a certificate?
Yes. Use Certificates → Revoke, provide a reason, and issue a replacement if needed. The blockchain audit log keeps both the original and the revocation event.
Account & Privacy
How do I update contact details?
Dashboard → Settings → Personal / Organization. All changes sync to public profiles and future certificates immediately.
What does the visibility status mean?
Public = visible in the catalog, Unlisted = only via direct link, Private = only you and invited collaborators. Switch visibility anytime in the artwork form.
How do I share data with collectors safely?
Use temporary sharing links inside the artwork passport or create private collections with access controls. Avoid sending raw files through messengers.
