Oleg Nikishin

I am Oleg Nikishin, a photographer and master printer with more than 35 years of experience. I work in an authorial documentary–artistic manner: I devote a lot of time to finding the subject, light, and atmosphere of a place, and I prefer thoughtful, deliberate shooting. The integrity of a series and the quality of each final print—from the birth of an idea to the finished copy—are essential to me. I shoot on film and digital, depending on the task, and I handle processing and printing with care. I favor archival materials and museum standards: precise tonal rendition, longevity, and controlled paper texture. I regularly prepare exhibition sets, work with galleries and private collectors, and build limited editions and portfolios. My aim is to create images that stand the test of time—visually honest, technically impeccable, and assembled into a complete, coherent story.
